Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Over 4 years of experience in DevOps within multi-cloud settings (AWS, Azure)
- Strong proficiency in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Practical knowledge of Azure Container Apps and Docker
- Advanced expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management in compliance-focused environments
- Experience with OpenID Connect (OIDC) and identity integration
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity strategies and technologies
- Must be available to work from our Waterloo office a minimum of 3 days each week (hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
- Create and uphold secure and scalable infrastructure on AWS/Azure utilizing Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration through Kubernetes
- Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment utilizing Jenkins, Bitbucket, and JIRA
- Write and sustain Bash and Python scripts for automating infrastructure tasks, deployments, and monitoring
- Establish and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for optimal uptime and rapid response for existing and new systems
- Engage in design and code reviews focused on infrastructure, automation, and security protocols
- Document infrastructure processes to enhance team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to deliver highly reliable services with minimal downtime
- Ensure adherence to data protection and security regulations such as GDPR and SOC 2 by deploying robust governance and auditing measures
