Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in product management or related fields within software or enterprise SaaS
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven history of successfully delivering technical platform products, tools, or infrastructure that enhance developer productivity or system reliability
- Experience managing product lifecycles from conception to launch and iteration in an Agile development environment
- Track record of driving both strategic direction and execution within complex, cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Experience in influencing go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, and solution enablement
- Preferred: Ability to navigate uncertainty and achieve measurable business results
- Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science or MBA
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and advocating for company interests
- Reliable internet access for working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the Workiva data platform, aligning with platform priorities and executive stakeholders
- Enhance the capabilities of Workivas data platform
- Shape product positioning and packaging strategy alongside Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Customer Experience to boost growth and adoption
- Develop multi-year product plans supporting regulated industries and unlocking new revenue streams for Workiva
- Lead discovery and validation efforts to mitigate investment risks and allow for rapid iterations
- Foster alignment across engineering, UX, compliance, and legal to guarantee secure, compliant, and scalable feature delivery
- Mentor and guide other product managers in platform domains
- Communicate direction and results to executive leadership (VP, SVP, EVP level)
Description
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to shape and drive the overarching product vision and strategy for Workivas Data Platform. This role entails managing the Data Platform as a product with a focus on its utility, performance, and strategic direction. We pride ourselves on fostering strong collaborative relationships across various engineering, design, project management, and business teams, while also partnering closely with senior leaders throughout our organization. At Workiva, we offer a competitive salary range of $177,000 to $284,000, along with a discretionary annual bonus, Restricted Stock Units, a 401(k) match, and a comprehensive benefits package.
