I am looking for a resourceful IT Support Specialist who possesses a robust understanding of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. The ideal candidate will have experience with networking concepts such as LAN configuration, VPN setup, and firewall management. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware components and peripherals is essential. Familiarity with IT support tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for ticket management will be valued. I appreciate individuals who can effectively resolve software issues across various operating environments, understand network security practices, and demonstrate excellent communication skills while assisting end-users. Experience in a help desk setting and with remote support tools would be advantageous. Additionally, a background in Cyber Security is a priority for my team, and familiarity with QuickBooks is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will require you to provide technical assistance for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications. You will be entrusted with troubleshooting hardware problems related to operating systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office. Assisting users with network connectivity issues, including local area network configurations and firewall troubleshooting, will also be part of your duties. You will manage and resolve service requests using ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy. Supporting VPN connectivity and ensuring secure remote access for users will be important to maintain our IT security. Additionally, you will maintain our computer networking infrastructure including LANs and firewalls, perform software troubleshooting, and assist with operating system updates or reinstallations as necessary. Documenting technical procedures and solutions for future reference and collaborating with team members on system upgrades or new technology implementations will be essential to enhancing our operations.
Description
