Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of practical development experience with SQL Server and SQL Data Warehouse
- 3+ years of direct experience with Azure services
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL for SQL Server
- Experience with big data processing tools, such as Spark, Hadoop, and Databricks
- Familiarity with Azure services including Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob Storage
- Certification as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (able to pass DP-200 and DP-201 exams)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences
Responsibilities
- Deliver audience-specific explanations of data engineering methodologies to technical teams
- Collaborate directly to create proof-of-concept projects to showcase innovative ideas for clients or prospects
- Develop environments for the storage of raw data using Azure Data Lake Storage
- Design and implement data warehouses and analytical services as part of a modern data warehouse architecture
- Employ tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, or Azure Stream Analytics for data orchestration and transformation
- Engage in travel, which may range from 25% to 50% of the time
Description
We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team, with a strong focus on data management, querying, and storage in relation to Big Data solutions and large-scale processing. We value individuals who are passionate about designing and implementing advanced data solutions using various Azure services. This is a senior to expert level position, and we offer opportunities for professional growth and certification. The preferred locations are Atlanta or New York City, but we are open to candidates from all over the U.S.
