Requirements
Must:
- I require a candidate with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support or help desk positions, ideally in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- You should be proficient with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and remote desktop support.
- A strong understanding of key networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls is essential.
- Familiarity with Citrix, VMware, SonicWall configuration, and switch navigation is necessary.
- It’s preferable to have experience with ConnectWise, Datto, and RMM platforms.
- Comfort with security tools like Huntress, Field Effect, or Blackpoint is expected.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as I need someone who can explain technical issues clearly and patiently.
- I am looking for someone who is organized, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tickets/tasks at once.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Microsoft MCP will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- My new team member will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end users via phone, remote desktop, and on-site visits.
- You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Citrix, VMware, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
- The role entails configuring and maintaining SonicWall firewalls, switches, and Aruba wireless access points.
- You’ll support various network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and SMTP.
- Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving issues with endpoints, remote access, printing, and third-party applications.
- I expect you to manage user accounts, groups, and permissions through Active Directory and Azure AD.
- It’s important for you to maintain thorough and accurate documentation within ConnectWise, including ticket notes, resolutions, and system changes.
- You will leverage Datto for backup management, remote access, and proactive device monitoring.
- Utilizing tools like Huntress, Field Effect, and Blackpoint to respond to and document security alerts is also part of the role.
- You will participate in IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, rollouts, and preventative maintenance.
- Collaboration with team members to resolve escalated tickets and mentor Level 1 technicians will be necessary.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by communicating solutions clearly and setting appropriate expectations is a priority.
