Substitute Engineer

- High School diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of experience in a hotel or relevant field required. - Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a hotel or similar field preferred. - Trade school training and/or college coursework in a related area is advantageous. - Flexibility to work long hours as necessary. - Ability to exert over 100 pounds of force occasionally, over 50 pounds frequently, and over 20 pounds constantly. - Maintain a warm, approachable demeanor consistently. - Proficient in both verbal and written communication with employees and guests at all levels in a courteous, friendly, and service-oriented manner. - Skilled in listening to and addressing concerns from employees and guests effectively. - Capable of multitasking and prioritizing departmental activities to meet deadlines. - Attend all mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions. - Maintain regular attendance aligned with Highgate Hotel Standards. - Uphold high standards of personal grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag. - Adhere to Highgate Hotel Standards and guidelines to promote safe and efficient hotel operations. - Focus on productivity, identify issues, and assist in implementing solutions. - Proficient in problem-solving, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as needed. - Able to understand and apply complex information and data from various sources to achieve goals. - Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas. - Capable of maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. - Demonstrated initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs. - Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
