Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree - 3+ years of experience in a legal firm, legal services, or professional services organization with substantial teamwork experience. - Ability to simplify complex concepts for client understanding. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of structuring ambiguous challenges into clear solutions. - Proficient knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling. - Demonstrated experience with Relativity custom development, particularly in eDiscovery-focused data processing and structured analytics. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including skills in VBA development, Power Query, complex formulas, and data visualization. - Experience in creating data visualizations using tools like Plotly, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI. - Proficient in Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and AI/ML prototyping; advanced SQL skills; experience with data pipeline construction. - Knowledgeable in front-end web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with capability in developing interactive web tools and dashboards. - Practical experience with AI tools and platforms, including OpenAI and Microsoft Azure OpenAI, focusing on RAG pipelines and knowledge graph construction. - Basic familiarity with social network analysis, natural language processing, classification algorithms, and image processing techniques. - Familiarity with version control systems including git, svn, and JIRA. - Understanding of hardware platforms like CPUs and GPUs. - Familiarity with leading legal technology platforms such as case management systems and eDiscovery solutions is preferred. - Experience in assessing LLM output quality through various benchmarking techniques is favored.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate in the coordination and execution of in-house solution development, gathering requirements and designing solutions. - Consult with case teams on data strategies and swiftly develop tailored solutions involving custom scripting, data management, and visualization design. - Handle sophisticated requests that employ advanced technology, such as document layout analysis and LLM-based information extraction, while maintaining thorough documentation. - Deliver data project services, analyze and resolve data processing and analytics issues specific to each matter. - Develop tailored eDiscovery workflows and carry out data-intensive projects requiring creative problem-solving and technical expertise. - Engage in departmental initiatives by closely collaborating with other data science teams and Legal Practice Technology leadership to evaluate and test both internal solutions and emerging technologies. - Act as a resource for technical expertise in AI, enhancing the teams ongoing development and capability advancements.
