Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an Associate degree with relevant experience
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures is preferred
- Familiarity with construction estimating and detailing is preferred
- Competence in the Windows operating system is essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Create BIM models for project management, coordination, field engineering, and client communication
- Collaborate with the design manager and project teams to ensure effective model development and use in the field
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and training sessions to enhance VDC knowledge and share findings with the team
- Coordinate with Project Engineering, Management, and Virtual Construction to update models during construction
- Detail rebar, formwork, structural steel, and other embedded elements as necessary
- Manage time efficiently to maintain productivity and accuracy in modeling
- Track time spent on projects, including any additional time due to changes in scope
- Organize model folders for easy access to important files
- Include essential object-level details based on company standards
- Adhere to file naming conventions for communications with team members, vendors, and clients
- Maintain regular communication with the estimating team and VDC Manager to discuss model deadlines
