Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
- If lacking a Bachelors Degree, a High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of relevant data science experience will be accepted
- Minimum of four (4) years of pertinent data science experience
- At least two (2) years of experience utilizing programming languages or database systems for developing data flows, data models, or data marts
- Masters degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Proficient with R, Python, SQL or similar tools for data extraction, manipulation, and cleansing
- Advanced skills in relational database management and/or application development
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams of data scientists, data engineers, consultants, and research partners on quantitative research and development initiatives
- Facilitate the integration and maintenance of third-party datasets and transformation services to support data-driven decision-making
- Implement and maintain documentation for internal projects, aiding analysts and data users in generating actionable insights
- Create and support data pipelines for capturing, transforming, aggregating, and publishing datasets
- Assist in designing advanced data models using various statistical and data science methodologies
- Help develop architecture diagrams, system documentation, and data models ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of tools and datasets for partner teams supporting advanced analytics
- Develop automated test scripts and perform root cause analyses for data issues, ensuring data quality and usability
- Uphold safety policies and promote a positive safety culture within the team
