Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in safety-critical control system design
- Extensive understanding of control processors, components, and communication networks
- Highly skilled in the installation, integration, and commissioning of industrial control systems
- Strong grasp of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, and EtherCAT
- Experience in managing requirements, creating test plans/procedures, and executing tests
- Proven knowledge of functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, and ISO 13849
- Familiarity with amusement and automation industry regulations, including ASTM F2291
- Excellent technical writing abilities
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods, ranging from 1 week to 3 years
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, while coordinating team efforts and task priorities
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete process of conceptualizing, designing, and delivering control systems for an array of intricate and groundbreaking ride systems and associated equipment
- Conduct systems engineering specific to ride control systems
- Define system use cases and identify user requirements
- Develop and document requirements and functional specifications through drawings, documents, and models
- Ensure adherence to control system safety standards
- Execute engineering design and analysis for ride control systems
- Formulate control strategies and algorithms
- Investigate new products, technologies, and methodologies
- Design, model, and analyze control systems, data communication, and dynamic systems
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams for the implementation of ride control systems
- Prepare implementation plans and budget forecasts
- Develop and implement mock-ups and prototypes for proof-of-concept initiatives
- Establish testing requirements and documentation, leading testing efforts
