Requirements
Must:
- 4+ years of experience in engineering related to automation and electromechanical systems
- Extensive understanding of control processors, components, and communication networks
- Highly skilled in the installation, integration, and commissioning of industrial control systems
- Strong grasp of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT
- Experience with requirements management, test plans/procedures, and test execution
- Knowledge of functional safety standards, including IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849
- Familiarity with industry standards for amusement and automation, including ASTM F2291
- Proficient in technical document creation
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for various durations up to 3 years
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, coordinating team efforts and prioritizing tasks
Responsibilities
- Innovatively apply engineering principles to design control systems for various intricate and groundbreaking ride systems and equipment
- Conduct systems engineering for ride control systems
- Define system use cases and user needs
- Develop and document requirements and functional specifications through drawings and models
- Ensure adherence to control system safety regulations
- Execute engineering design and analysis for ride control systems
- Create control strategies and algorithms
- Investigate new products, technologies, and methodologies
- Design, model, and analyze control systems, data communications, and dynamic systems
- Collaborate with design and engineering professionals to implement ride control systems
- Create and execute mock-ups and prototypes for proof-of-concept projects
- Establish test requirements and documents, leading testing processes
