Requirements

Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in the engineering field related to electromechanical systems control - Proven expertise in fail-safe and safety-critical control system design - In-depth knowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks - Strong skills in installation, integration, and commissioning of industrial control systems - Comprehensive understanding of communication protocols: TCP/IP, CAN, serial, ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT - Familiarity with electrical design standards and codes including UL508a and NEC - Awareness of amusement and automation industry standards such as ASTM F2291 - Proficient in motor and motion control methods and components - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for periods ranging from 1 week to 3 years - Capacity to manage multiple complex projects, coordinate team activities, and prioritize tasks effectively

Responsibilities

- Support the design and delivery of control systems for sophisticated ride systems through programmable, electrical, and electronic hardware - Conduct engineering design and analysis focusing on electrical control systems for rides - Develop architectures for control systems and networks - Design, model, and analyze electrical supply systems - Investigate new technologies, products, and methodologies - Lead a team of ride control engineers, collaborating with other experts to develop ride control systems - Create specifications and requirements for control equipment - Build and implement proof-of-concept mock-ups and prototypes - Perform hazard assessments and conduct failure modes and effects analysis - Oversee vendors, contractors, and consultants in the development and implementation of ride control systems - Define supplier and consultant design expectations and oversee their delivery - Ensure fulfillment of all performance and delivery standards - Execute factory acceptance tests and manage ride system installations
