Requirements
Must:
- Solid data skills and strong computer science fundamentals
- Extensive experience in full-stack development
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Scala, Java, C++, or C#
- Familiarity with relational database technologies including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL
- Basic fluency in Python
- Understanding of challenges related to large-scale distributed data processing
- Ability to navigate ambiguous or undefined problems with abstract thinking
- Capability to oversee projects from requirement gathering to launch
- Continuous drive for system improvement, automation, and optimization
- Skills in scientific analysis and mathematical modeling techniques
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance our Natural Language Understanding (NLU) services and features
- Architect service-oriented infrastructure to scale NLU capabilities
- Resolve challenges related to service scalability and availability
- Develop essential components for model-serving microservices, optimizing latency and robustness
- Implement machine learning functionalities to improve models and experimental design
- Balance model enhancements with serving latency and operational costs
- Spearhead load-testing initiatives to optimize the model-serving architecture
- Manage pipelines for safe model deployment using continuous deployment practices
- Ensure cloud infrastructure is effectively utilized for resource management
- Integrate or create labeling tools for conversation data accuracy and quality control
- Engage in building demos, proofs of concept, and writing technical content
