Staff Software Engineer - Back End

- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering focusing on high availability systems - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field - Proficiency in programming languages, especially Java - Experience in data engineering and managing large datasets - Knowledge of databases, including vector and big data technologies - Familiarity with distributed computing, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and multi-cloud environments - Proven ability to deliver successful software systems from inception to deployment - Demonstrated history of solving complex business challenges through effective solutions - Strong problem-solving capabilities, enabling design trade-offs while considering both long-term and short-term impacts - Expertise in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, CI/CD, and best practices for operational excellence - Excellent communication skills for collaboration, consensus building, and conflict resolution - Proven track record in mentoring engineers and promoting technical career growth - Eager to learn new technologies and domains - Preferred: Experience with GenAI technologies such as LLMs and RAG, and cloud-based AI platforms like GCP Vertex AI or Azure
