Staff Data Scientist - Python, R

- Masters degree or certification in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. - Significant hands-on experience with Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly with recent deep learning models (e.g., Transformers, BERT, Llama, GPTs, Gemini) and safe fine-tuning practices. - Proven track record in designing, developing, and deploying comprehensive Generative AI systems using transformer-based architectures, both open-source and proprietary. - Proficiency in Python and solid understanding of SQL. - Practical experience with classical machine learning models including metrics for testing, training, and evaluation as well as key parameters impacting model performance. - Strong grasp of pertinent statistical metrics, such as confidence intervals and the significance of error measurements, alongside experience with development and evaluation datasets. - Ability to navigate a project from requirement scoping to launch successfully. - A relentless drive to research, enhance, and optimize models and products. - Experience in analyzing conversational datasets to uncover patterns and conducting error analysis, with a passion for resolving data issues and achieving optimal representations. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
