Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Strong foundations in data skills and computer science fundamentals.
- Proven programming proficiency in at least one modern language such as Scala, Java, C++, or C#.
- Experience with relational database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL.
- Some fluency in Python is preferred, as it is commonly used by our data scientists.
- Understanding of distributed data processing challenges at scale.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous or undefined problems with abstract thinking.
- Proven ability to manage projects from initial requirements gathering to successful launch.
- Continuous drive to explore, enhance and optimize systems and tools.
- Strong analytical skills to apply scientific methods in evaluating system designs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and enhance our Natural Language Understanding (NLU) services for integration and rich user experiences.
- Handle service-oriented architecture to expose NLU capabilities at scale, solving challenges related to service availability.
- Design microservices architecture to efficiently manage model-serving dependencies, improving latency and reliability.
- Implement functionality for machine learning enhancements, including A/B testing of models.
- Guide the architectural decisions regarding tooling and infrastructure for model serving based on evolving product requirements.
- Conduct thorough load-testing efforts to balance performance and operational costs in model-serving tasks.
- Create and maintain workflows and pipelines for rapid model deployment via continuous integration methods.
- Manage scalable cloud infrastructure and optimize resource management within the tech stack.
- Integrate labeling tools with conversation data stores to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Participate in emerging technology initiatives, such as building demos and creating informative content like blogs and white papers.
