Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering focused on high-availability systems.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Java.
- Experience in data engineering and managing large datasets.
- Knowledge of databases, including vector and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, containerization (Docker/K8s), and multi-cloud environments.
- Demonstrated history of successfully building software systems from inception to deployment.
- Proven ability to create solutions addressing complex business challenges.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, balancing long-term goals with short-term design decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, CI/CD, and operational excellence practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, including consensus building and conflict resolution.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers in technical problem-solving and career growth.
- Eagerness to learn new domains and technologies.
- Preferred experience with GenAI technologies, such as LLMs, RAG, and cloud-based AI platforms like GCP Vertex AI or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Stay updated on technical advancements to guide system architecture and software development.
- Lead and mentor teams in executing complex systems, encouraging a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Engage hands-on in prototyping, researching, and coding scalable systems for consumers.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to align with our long-term business objectives.
- Promote operational and engineering excellence across all projects.
- Participate in code reviews, operational assessments, architectural discussions, and troubleshooting to uphold the highest development standards.
- Serve as a mentor to engineers, managers, and others to nurture emerging talent.
