Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering focused on building highly available systems.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages, especially Java.
- Experience with data engineering and managing large datasets.
- Knowledge of databases, including vector and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with distributed computing and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience in multi-cloud environments.
- Proven success in developing software systems from inception through deployment.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to navigate complex business challenges.
- Expertise in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, CI/CD, and best practices in operational excellence.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to build consensus and resolve conflicts.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting their professional growth.
- A curious mindset with a strong ability to learn new domains and tech quickly.
- Preferred experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs and cloud-based platforms like GCP Vertex AI or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Stay updated on technical advancements while driving system architecture and software development processes.
- Lead and guide teams in implementing intricate systems, promoting a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Engage in hands-on prototyping, researching, and coding scalable systems focused on consumer interactions.
- Collaborate with business and product teams to fulfill our long-term business objectives.
- Advocate for operational superiority and engineering excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, operational assessments, architectural discussions, and troubleshooting to uphold high development standards.
- Mentor engineers, managers, and team members to foster talent development.
