Network Engineer, Information Security Staff

- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, along with 4 years of experience in network engineering or a relevant area, preferably within a technology, retail, or data-driven organization. - Alternatively, 6 years of experience in network engineering or a similar field at a technology company, retail entity, or data-focused organization. - Extensive hands-on experience with 802.1x for both wired and wireless networks, including authentication flows and EAP methods. - In-depth knowledge of Cisco ISE architecture and configuration, including RADIUS, TACACS+, policy sets, profiling, and posture assessment. - Experience in mixed network environments, including Cisco Catalyst/NX-OS and Juniper EX/Mist. - Practical experience in automating infrastructure or network operations using relevant tools. - Background in infrastructure as code, utilizing tools like Terraform or equivalents for managing infrastructure through version-controlled configurations. - Proficient in scripting or orchestration frameworks for network automation. - Familiar with API-driven automation for network and security platforms. - Solid networking knowledge encompassing access layer switching, load-balancing, firewalls, and routing. - Understanding of Zero Trust principles and the role of NAC in device posture and identity access models. - Experience in designing RBAC models and command authorization workflows for network infrastructure. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations in a large organization. - Experience conducting technology evaluations, vendor assessments, or managing RFP/RFI processes is advantageous.
