Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Over 5 years of experience in unified communications and network engineering (VoIP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, COTs, routing, switching).
- Proficient with Ubiquity, Microsoft Teams Phone, Yealink, Apple, Polycom, SIP, SBCs, PSTN, QoS, and E911.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and adept troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional documentation, project execution, and cross-functional communication abilities.
- Solid problem-solving capabilities and the capacity to collaborate within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement unified communication systems that encompass messaging, voice, video, collaboration tools, faxing, and cellular technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot unified communication infrastructure, including servers, gateways, routers, switches, and related devices.
- Monitor performance to ensure systems meet availability and security standards through testing and tuning.
- Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals such as network engineers, application developers, and security analysts to deliver integrated solutions and improve user experience.
- Create and document standard operating procedures, installation guides, user manuals, and training materials.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, offer technical guidance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the integration and management of cellular voice and data services, ensuring coordination with service providers for optimal performance.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in unified communication and cellular technologies.
