Requirements

Must:
- I require advanced knowledge of network infrastructure components, including Citrix & NetMotion VPN, Cisco networking products, and various standard routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.). - I expect advanced technical expertise in networking and security, including routing, DNS/DHCP, Cloudflare, and Checkpoint Cisco firewall configurations. - You should have a strong understanding of network analysis, familiarity with the OSI model, and the capability to utilize analysis utilities for network performance monitoring. - Basic knowledge of cable plant design and implementation is necessary. - Familiarity with Citrix application load balancing, QoS, and VoIP solutions is important. - An advanced understanding of Cloud Networking and high-availability technologies is required. - Knowledge of network and system monitoring technologies (SNMP, SolarWinds, etc.) is essential. - Experience with transmission mediums such as cloud-based Wi-Fi systems (Meraki), Transparent LAN Services (TLS), Private IP (PIP), fiber optics, and microwave wireless communications is a must. - You should possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills alongside superior documentation abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

- I will expect you to design, implement, maintain, optimize, and resolve issues in enterprise-class networks made up of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. - You will be responsible for planning and executing network changes, hardware and software upgrades, as well as refreshes and replacements. - It is essential that you minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and performance monitoring. - I would like you to provide technical support and resolution for network hardware and software issues. - Supporting the existing infrastructure and aiding in the design and deployment of data network solutions for both business and technical initiatives will be part of your daily routine. - Utilizing network monitoring and management tools to evaluate the status of the environment and perform capacity planning will be expected. - I require you to develop and maintain documentation, including addressing plans, network topology diagrams, and data flows in a thorough and timely manner. - Collaborating with IT security and Enterprise Architects to establish the necessary network security infrastructure is also important. - You will evaluate, select, and recommend data networking equipment ensuring it supports enterprise network initiatives. - Additionally, you will deliver periodic reports on network metrics such as uptime statistics, and bandwidth consumption, and provide project management assistance for network upgrades and new installations. - You might need to work with ISPs and circuit providers to resolve data communication issues and may need to drive a vehicle for business purposes.

This is a non-merit system, employment-at-will, long-term contract position. In this role, I need someone who stays updated with the latest trends in data equipment, technologies, and can make recommendations based on analysis. I also need you to assist in developing a preventive maintenance program and support cable plant management for data circuits. Other related tasks will be assigned as necessary. The work environment is business casual, and I am looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about contributing to a thriving team. Qualifications: - A Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field) is preferred, along with active CCNP Certification. - You should have at least 8 years of direct experience configuring, deploying, maintaining, and testing Cisco routers and switches, with a solid background in enterprise network operations and project management. - Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with 12 years of similar experience and the same certification will also be considered.
