Senior Systems Engineer

- Demonstrate expertise in server requirements, operating systems, domain structure, storage design, and hypervisor technology - Strong grasp of IP networking and the OSI model across multiple layers - Proficient in network and systems analysis with strong troubleshooting abilities - Develop comprehensive documentation for implemented products and solutions - Focused on achieving positive customer outcomes - Excellent interpersonal relationship skills - Ability to mentor junior engineers - Results-driven with a commitment to surpassing standards of excellence - Capable of multitasking - Committed to the quality and timely delivery of services - Eager and self-motivated to become a subject matter expert - Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Strong problem-solving capabilities - Administer and troubleshoot OS and system-level issues within virtualization environments, including physical server hardware problems - Preferred experience with Cisco, HPE and/or Dell hardware - Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V hypervisors (AHV experience also preferred) - Experience with Hyper Flex and Nutanix hyperconverged solutions is a plus - Document changes to the environment and develop new documentation for existing or new systems - Ensure solutions meet high availability standards for production infrastructure - Support and enhance storage and virtualization hardware in rapidly evolving environments - Expert knowledge of SAN technologies (e.g., Nimble, Dell EMC, Pure Storage) - Lead and manage assigned technical projects - Train team members on operation of newly implemented infrastructure - Handle tier 2 and 3 incident management for client environments - Research and prototype new tools to address business needs and evolving technical requirements, such as automated software delivery and DevOps integration - Strong expertise in physical compute, storage, and related data center infrastructure - In-depth knowledge of virtualization design, implementation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and virtual development environments - Experience with Python and shell scripting - Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid data center infrastructure integrations
