Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of procurement experience OR High School/GED and at least 5 years of procurement experience
- Experience with business and/or procurement lifecycles and best practices
- Proven skills in negotiations and strategy development/execution
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve departmental goals within budgetary constraints and timelines
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
- At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team leadership experience
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement sourcing strategies and initiatives to enhance supplier quality and cost-effectiveness for goods not for resale
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies, including RFI and RFP processes, while documenting supplier communication and selection criteria
- Streamline business processes and analyze industry trends to maximize project value
- Utilize spend analysis to identify sourcing projects, create cost reduction plans, and defend category strategies with data-driven insights
- Support supplier performance measurement through scorecards and formal reporting to senior management
- Engage in strategic meetings with suppliers and business leaders to ensure effective strategy execution and manage supplier relationships
- Oversee category performance while adhering to savings goals and financial models for recurring spend
- Seek consolidation opportunities across business units by leading cross-functional sourcing teams and category strategy implementation
- Foster a positive team environment through ongoing training, mentorship, and clear communication
