Requirements
Must:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in professional software engineering (exceptional new graduates and early-career engineers are welcome to apply)
- Proficient in Python with experience in developing backend services and APIs, or ability to quickly learn (REST/gRPC)
- Practical experience with LLM-powered agents or tools using frameworks like LangChain/LangGraph or similar (through professional, research, or substantial personal projects)
- Consistent practice of leveraging LLMs and agents to enhance development efficiency rather than manually creating all boilerplate code
- Experience in designing and documenting clean, versioned APIs and data schemas
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy production-ready AI agents utilizing frameworks such as LangGraph or Agent Development Kits from Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic
- Establish clear agent roles, goals, and functionalities, including prompts, tool schemas, and decision-making loops (e.g. ReAct, plan-and-solve)
- Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that interface Voyagers internal systems (PLM, ERP, simulation, repositories) with agents
- Integrate both external and internal engineering tools (e.g. Ansys, Altium, SolidWorks, Python toolchains) as secure and robust tools for agents
- Create evaluation suites and benchmarks to assess agent performance on realistic tasks (e.g. exam-style physics challenges, PCB routing, CAD modifications)
- Work closely with subject matter experts to embed manufacturing, testing, and safety constraints directly into agent behaviors
- Employ LLMs as a means to accelerate development, including scaffolding code, composing tests, and generating documentation for agent systems
