Requirements

Must:
I am seeking candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience. You should have a minimum of 5 years in security analysis, SOC operations, or incident response. A strong understanding of security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and DLP is essential. Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment is also required, along with familiarity in cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Exceptional problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and communication proficiency are vital.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Analyst, I will be counting on you to monitor security alerts and events across various platforms, including EDR, DLP, and SIEM. You will lead investigations into potential security incidents and coordinate response actions as outlined in our Security Incident Response Plan. Additionally, I expect you to conduct root cause analysis and recommend remediation strategies. You will work on vulnerability assessments, provide penetration testing support, and engage in threat hunting with the aid of industry tools and intelligence. A key part of your role will involve collaborating with the IT and Engineering teams to address findings and enhance security controls. You will also oversee daily alert activities, escalate issues, and guide key stakeholders. Your efforts will include tuning detection rules, optimizing playbooks and response workflows, and maintaining security documentation.

Description

I appreciate candidates who are eager to assist with internal and external assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, while aligning security controls with established policies and best practices. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance, mentor junior security staff, and contribute to our strategic security initiatives and planning. While not mandatory, I value professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CEH, or Security+. Having hands-on scripting or automation skills (e.g., in Python or PowerShell) and experience with GRC tools and compliance frameworks would be advantageous. I am committed to providing an equal opportunity work environment and ensure that my team is dedicated to this policy throughout all stages of employment.
