Requirements
Must:
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biomedical Informatics, or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of industry experience in medtech, healthtech, or digital health
- More than 5 years of experience in developing and implementing advanced machine learning and AI techniques for clinical or complex data
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Python development
- Engineering background focused on signal processing, particularly with dense time series data
- Practical experience with biomedical algorithms or digital health metrics (e.g., ECG, Continuous Vitals, EEG, Actigraphy)
- Familiarity with modern machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
- Knowledge of data processing tools like Pandas and NumPy
- Understanding of software development best practices, including CI/CD, agile methodologies, and Git workflows
- Experience with validation methodologies in regulated environments (FDA, SaMD, Class II)
- Strong capability in statistical analysis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to transition projects from research into product development for commercialization
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and optimization of machine learning models to derive insights from digital health data
- Develop methodologies for building and implementing machine learning models utilizing multi-modal datasets
- Collect, clean, and preprocess substantial datasets for model training while enhancing accuracy and efficiency
- Translate research findings into production-ready solutions, ensuring software is well-documented and validated
- Enhance infrastructure and tools, including algorithmic pipelines, testing frameworks, and CI/CD processes
- Collaborate with diverse teams across clinical, product, and engineering domains to create integrated tools
- Present and discuss technical findings clearly to colleagues and clients
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the successful deployment and monitoring of components
