Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, or Nuclear) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience focused on valve-related equipment.
- Preferred certifications in valve maintenance and engineering (e.g., MOV certification).
- Proven experience overseeing vendor activities related to valve refurbishment and maintenance.
- Ability to create and implement specific programs to enhance valve reliability.
- Experience in generating component health reports and monitoring performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Provide proactive engineering oversight for valve-related equipment to enhance overall plant reliability and prevent failures.
- Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for designated valve components.
- Monitor and improve component health via condition monitoring, trend analysis, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain programs specifically aimed at valve reliability.
- Create and facilitate the execution of long-term maintenance strategies for valve-related equipment.
- Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance tasks using site operating experience and industry best practices.
- Implement predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, thermography, and acoustic monitoring.
- Provide condition monitoring guidance to the predictive maintenance team.
- Offer technical expertise to maintenance and operations staff for troubleshooting and repair of valve-related equipment.
- Support plant operations and maintenance by addressing equipment inquiries.
- Develop or assess design modification packages for valve-related equipment.
- Prepare engineering reports and technical evaluations regarding component issues.
