Requirements

Must:
- Valid, unrestricted Michigan drivers license. - Two years of a combination of formal education and work experience preferred. - Experience or education in hospitality or event planning preferred. - Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, in English. - Competent in organizing, prioritizing, and analyzing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Creative thinking and management skills in a fast-paced setting. - Effective relationship-building skills with supervisors, peers, and external stakeholders. - Positive and professional demeanor, even under stress. - Proficient in both remote and in-person settings; adept with video conferencing tools. - Familiar with software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Availability for weekends and off-hours as needed for assignments and travel. - Capability to operate larger vehicles (D-Rover) and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

- Contribute to embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into our culture and operations. - Aid in updating the partnership database and communicating with membership contacts. - Conduct research to collect and authenticate partner account information. - Provide administrative support to the Partner Sales team, including outreach preparations. - Assist with the Neighborhood Promotion Program. - Help coordinate print production and signage for incoming events. - Support Destination Services initiatives, including mobile visitor engagement with D-Rover. - Assist in producing and printing event-related materials, such as posters. - Organize collateral for booked and prospective groups. - Set up welcome tables and prepare materials for incoming events. - Help with client card deliveries and gift distributions. - Carry out general administrative tasks within the Destination Services and Partnerships teams. - Complete special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President. - Represent Visit Detroit professionally at events and partner activities. - Demonstrate knowledge of hospitality terminology and excellence in customer service. - Promote our commitment to a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
