Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support, with relevant degree or certifications, or at least 2 years of experience without them.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Active Directory.
- Capability to configure and image new devices, as well as reimage existing systems when necessary.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to verify device encryption and utilize spam filtering tools.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Access to reliable transportation, a valid driverโs license, and the capability to transport equipment between sites.
- Willingness to travel for initial training (travel expenses will be covered).
- Must successfully pass standard background and drug screenings (excluding marijuana).
Responsibilities
- Split time between on-site support (approximately 60%) and providing remote assistance via phone, chat, and email.
- Participate in a weekly help desk rotation, covering 8 hours per week in the call queue.
- Resolve Tier I technical problems and service requests.
- Assess and escalate more complicated incidents to senior support teams as necessary.
- Diagnose hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Confirm the resolution of issues with end users and ensure proper documentation of updates in the ITSM platform.
- Collaborate with teams focused on infrastructure, security, systems, and applications.
- Adhere to IT and security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Create and update internal knowledge articles.
- Support ongoing improvements in IT processes.
- Manage multiple tasks with responsiveness and effective time management.
- Undertake special assignments as required.
Description
This position is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, where you will provide deskside support across multiple office locations. Flexibility is essential for occasional on-call duties, weekend maintenance, and approximately 3โ5 hours of overtime each week.
