Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master leading a software development team, effectively applying Scrum methodologies and understanding additional Agile frameworks (such as Scaled Agile, Kanban, Release Train Engineer, etc.)
- Proven experience in managing application development projects
- Background in overseeing projects related to mainframe applications and transitioning from mainframe to other technology solutions (client/server, SaaS, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency with Jira
- Experience in shifting from Waterfall to Agile, with a strong foundation in SCRUM
- Ability to adapt between Scrum Master, Project Manager, and Program Manager functions
- Stability in employment history, with a preference for candidates whose contracts have lasted a year or more
- Exceptional communication skills with a consultative approach
- Experience in drafting requirement documents, with the ability to articulate project requirements to stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to outline project scope, timelines, objectives, and manage budget, deliverables, risks, and overall project status
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from initial definition to implementation
- Ensure accountability for meeting established scope, cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks
- Create a project plan and drive progress towards project milestones
- Develop an effective communication strategy with the project team and key stakeholders
- Provide daily guidance to project resources
- Manage change effectively throughout the project duration
- Prepare necessary documentation, status reports, and budget forecasts
Description
We are excited to announce a dynamic opportunity for a Senior IT Project Manager/Scrum Master to spearhead extensive legacy-to-modernization initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the transition from Mainframe systems to Cloud/SaaS solutions while guiding teams through a transformation from Waterfall to Agile methodologies. This position is offered as a 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extension every six months, and it operates in a hybrid model requiring in-office presence three days a week. Located in Midtown with convenient access to MARTA, we are situated in a brand new office building with paid parking and numerous amenities.
