Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of practical experience in EDI mapping and translation
- Minimum of 2 years working with X12 EDI standards
- Experience managing EDI systems in enterprise-level production settings
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems
- Familiar with databases and capable of executing SQL queries
- Experience with IBM b2bi or Sterling Navigator
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and EDI communication protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Availability to participate in a rotating on-call support schedule
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, monitor, and sustain EDI integrations between internal systems and external trading partners
- Provide technical direction and issue resolution for EDI-related inquiries from partners and internal teams
- Create, maintain, and enhance EDI translation maps, business process models, and configurations for trading partners
- Offer second-level EDI support to internal IT departments and business units
- Ensure data integrity, system dependability, and compliance with EDI standards (X12)
- Archive and manage EDI-related documentation and oversee supporting SQL databases
- Set up and manage UNIX scripts and Java brokers for file transfer and system automation
- Monitor EDI systems for errors, failures, or performance issues and address them proactively
- Support and troubleshoot EDI communication protocols and network connectivity
- Oversee the onboarding process for new trading partners, including non-standard EDI setups
- Configure and assist subsidiary EDI interfaces
- Collaborate with external partners to resolve data and connectivity challenges
- Handle escalated support tickets from trading partners and internal support teams
- Keep documentation current for EDI processes, configurations, and procedures
- Provide backup assistance for the EDI team functions as required
- Participate in an on-call rotation and deliver remote support as needed
- Contribute to cross-functional IT projects and special assignments as directed
