Requirements
Must:
- Passion for creating code that positively influences lives.
- Degree in Computer Science or related fields (including boot camps).
- Experience as a Full Stack Developer preferred.
- Familiarity with LAMP stack, Maui/.NET, and React Native.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
- Exposure to languages such as PHP, C#, C++, Python, or Ruby is beneficial.
- Self-driven, meticulous, and organized individual.
- Ability to adopt best practices and uphold strong coding standards.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing enterprise-scale applications utilizing:
- OOP, procedural & functional programming
- MySQL with synchronous replication
- Hybrid JS frameworks
- Responsive HTML/CSS design frameworks
- APIs (JSON, XML, REST, and OAuth)
- CDNs like Cloudflare, Cloudfront, or Akamai
- Service-oriented architecture techniques
- GIT versioning and branching methodologies
- Caching technologies like Redis or Memcache
- Unix command-line and CLI tools
- Composer, NPM
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage integrations with major ticketing services.
- Enhance our current systems to boost automation.
- Contribute to our existing codebase and create new applications from scratch.
- Envision, troubleshoot, and assist the team in crafting remarkable experiences for our VetTixers.
- Collaborate with ticketing partners like Ticketmaster, AXS, SeatGeek, and others.
- Engage with third-party APIs such as AWS AI tools, Google APIs, and more.
- Utilize JavaScript, PHP with Laravel, and React Native in projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to devise automation solutions that streamline workloads.
- Build and refine features catering to donors and VetTixers.

We are the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), the largest veteran service organization in the U.S., actively supporting around 2.5 million veterans and their families by providing complimentary tickets to various events. Since our inception in 2008, we have successfully distributed over 34 million tickets, all supported by our committed team and generous donors. We are excited to welcome two enthusiastic junior developers to our dynamic team, where youll have the opportunity to learn from skilled professionals while helping us create advanced technologies for military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families.
