Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Thermal Dynamics, or a related discipline is a must.
- A Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- At least three years of experience engaging with customers on a technical level is essential; field service experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with glycol and water quality is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of thermal dynamics and a proven track record in optimizing intricate thermal systems.
- Minimum of five years experience specifically in thermal management for high-density and liquid cooling systems.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Superior organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success in guiding, building, and managing technical teams.
- Positive attitude and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented and self-driven, capable of working independently.
- Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
- Must be able to interpret electrical diagrams, piping schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong competencies in communication, customer service, troubleshooting, safety protocols, computer skills, and mechanical aptitude.
- Proven interpersonal skills, professionalism, reliability, and teamwork orientation.
- *Preferred:* Knowledge and experience in HVAC product design and forensic analysis.
- *Preferred:* Familiarity with quality systems processes, Continuous Improvement strategies, and FMEA concepts.
- *Preferred:* Experience with ancillary controls in HVAC systems, such as BMS, MODBUS, CAN communications, and PLC systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in optimizing thermal management systems for high-density and liquid cooling applications.
- Mentor and guide team members to foster a collaborative atmosphere and promote technical development.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and other departments to effectively incorporate new technologies and solutions into current systems.
- Maintain precise documentation regarding system designs, performance metrics, and troubleshooting endeavors, providing regular reports for stakeholders.
- Develop, refine, and utilize predictive analytics models, cloud-based monitoring systems, and data-driven tools to enhance proactive service and maintenance methodologies.
- Identify and resolve thermal performance concerns related to primary and secondary loops, manifolds, CDUs/XDUs, sensors, pumps, valves, and integration points within systems.
- Implement best practices and innovative strategies to improve thermal management processes and spur continuous enhancements.
- Diagnose and rectify issues affecting thermal performance, particularly in high-density and liquid cooling systems.
- Work in conjunction with Engineering, Quality, and Root Cause Analysis teams to determine root causes and propose solutions, while also sharing lessons learned.
- Provide on-site assistance for escalated concerns and during customer engagement when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Global Strategic Account team during customer meetings.
- Deliver technical support spanning mechanical, electrical, quality, monitoring, and control systems to guarantee seamless integration and operational performance of thermal solutions.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of technical documentation and support materials for high-density products.
- Effectively communicate to ascertain customer requirements, deliver technical assistance, and resolve queries, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in thermal management and cooling systems, offering suggestions for integrating advancements into existing protocols.
- Remain informed about new products, updates, and modifications that may impact product performance.
- Engage in other duties or projects as assigned.
