Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming
- Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
- Experience with software configuration management practices (e.g., Git)
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles to develop efficient and maintainable applications
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical modeling, programming, and simulation tools for developing Qualification Test Guides compliant with FAA/EASA standards
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with distributed teams
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Capacity to thrive under pressure both independently and in a team setting
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Must be eligible for government security clearance, with active clearance considered a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cross-platform applications using C/C++
- Analyze existing C/C++ code to understand its underlying functionalities
- Create and maintain code while integrating software components into a cohesive software system
- Translate customer documentation into models and simulations compatible with real-time interactive data
- Design and utilize application programming interfaces while integrating developed software components into complete solutions
- Implement software according to design specifications and company standards
- Maintain and update design documents and master feature lists
- Assess and scope development tasks within given time and cost parameters
- Uphold quality assurance standards across the software development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot software issues creatively to resolve technical challenges
- Conduct testing and debugging of both personal and team projects to enhance quality assurance processes
- Participate in the complete flight simulator validation and qualification phases
- Communicate effectively and timely with the team and management
- Provide comprehensive technical documentation for stakeholders
