Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates who have proven experience in IT support or help desk positions, with a solid understanding of desktop support and technical troubleshooting. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux is essential. You should have a strong grasp of computer networking concepts, including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and general network security practices. Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy for incident management is a plus. Knowledge of software troubleshooting methods for common applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite, is important. You must demonstrate an ability to diagnose hardware problems related to computer components and possess excellent communication skills with a customer service focus. Basic knowledge of operating system configurations and security best practices is required. Additional skills such as working with Cisco VPNs, firewall management tools, or operating system administration are advantageous.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide first-line technical support through help desk channels, assisting users with hardware, software, and network challenges. You will troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues related to operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Managing and resolving software issues, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and other essential software, will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will configure and support VPN connections, firewalls, LAN setups, and other network components. Utilizing ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy, you will document incidents, track progress, and ensure timely resolution. Youll assist with computer hardware repairs or replacements as necessary. Supporting IT infrastructure, including operating systems and network configurations, will also be essential. You will work collaboratively with team members to escalate complex issues, while maintaining clear communication with users throughout the troubleshooting process to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
