Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field - Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in engineering management or a senior technical leadership role - Proven track record of delivering complex applications at an enterprise scale, particularly in regulated settings (healthcare experience preferred) - Strong full-stack expertise in C#/.NET, React/TypeScript, and SQL Server - Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, containerization, CI/CD, and modern release practices - Demonstrated experience in integrating AI-assisted specification, test generation, and code review into standard development workflows - Ability to implement AI-focused development models with an emphasis on speed, quality, security, and compliance - Solid understanding of secure coding methodologies, OWASP standards, and governance in enterprise scenarios - Proven capability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships - Effective leadership skills with experience in mentoring and cultivating talent within engineering teams - High emotional intelligence, showcasing empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution abilities - Strong communicator, able to articulate technical and architectural concepts to both technical teams and executive audiences - Results-driven hands-on leader, balancing strategic vision with direct technical contributions and accountability for delivery - Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience in navigating uncertainty, managing competing priorities, and focusing on outcomes - Strong sense of ownership, integrity, and professionalism; recognized as a trusted advisor to peers and senior leaders - Commitment to continuous professional development, remaining up-to-date with AI-based development trends and new technologies - Willingness to travel up to 15% for team collaboration, strategic planning, or industry events

Responsibilities

- Design and enhance AI-native, cloud-first architectures for intricate enterprise systems while ensuring a balance of speed, accuracy, security, and compliance - Contribute to production code and conduct code reviews in C#/.NET, React/TypeScript, and SQL Server, adopting AI-assisted development techniques - Lead architecture discussions, code evaluations, and specification reviews, prioritizing decision quality over task completion - Establish and continually improve CI/CD processes, automated testing, and security scanning to ensure AI-generated artifacts meet enterprise standards - Develop and implement an AI-driven engineering model where AI generates specifications, tests, and code, while humans provide intent and approval - Advocate for AI-native workflows (e.g., Claude Code, agent-based development, intelligent testing, AI-assisted code review) as standard practices - Ensure the safe and compliant use of AI, particularly within regulated healthcare contexts - Continuously refine prompts, agent constraints, review processes, and engineering standards to enhance specification yield, decision latency, and overall quality outcomes - Cultivate a culture of empathy, shared understanding, and continuous learning through regular one-on-one meetings, career development strategies, effective communication, knowledge exchange, and skills evaluations - Create development pathways for junior developers, senior engineers, and emerging technical leaders - Implement contemporary management techniques centered around outcome-focused goal setting - Grow and scale development teams of over 10 developers, along with nearshore or offshore contractors - Manage branching, feature flags, and release schedules; promote changes across environments, present at change advisory board meetings, and collaborate with Infra/QA/Data/Security to ensure timely value delivery - Drive consistent delivery using flow and quality metrics (e.g., throughput, code quality, intent) instead of activity-based indicators - Ensure decision visibility, swift resolution of blocks, and clear ownership of decisions among teams - Collaborate with QA, Product, and Infrastructure teams to guarantee seamless delivery and operational excellence - Advocate for engineering requirements while ensuring alignment with business objectives - Promote an inclusive and innovative engineering culture that attracts and retains top talent
