Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in WordPress development
- Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Experience in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Background in the setup, administration, and development within a WordPress Multisite environment
- In-depth understanding of the architecture and best practices regarding the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg), Full Site Editing (FSE), and custom block development using React/JavaScript
- Experience with headless WordPress implementation utilizing REST API or GraphQL
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript bundling and transpilation via tools like Webpack or Vite for script optimization
- Strong knowledge of Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, and pixel integration (Meta, Google Ads, etc.)
- Familiarity with server-side tagging and custom event tracking methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Understanding of performance enhancement strategies and tools (e.g., caching, image optimization)
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using various themes, plugins, and custom code
- Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to integrate new features and enhance UX/UI
- Optimize website performance, search engine optimization (SEO), and responsiveness across all devices
- Oversee and implement Git-based workflows for code deployment and version control, such as Bitbucket and GitHub pipelines
- Manage, update, and deploy shared UI components and applications, like custom calculators built with React and styled with Tailwind CSS, ensuring consistency across all WordPress properties
- Direct efforts for WordPress internationalization and localization for themes and plugins using Poedit
- Implement and manage tracking using Google Tag Manager, including setting up and troubleshooting GTM containers and triggers
- Integrate pixels for platforms like Facebook/Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
- Custom track events such as form submissions and eCommerce events, ensuring accurate data collection and supporting marketing attribution models
- Conduct website testing, debugging, and quality assurance for all releases and deployments
- Stay informed about the latest WordPress and tracking/analytics best practices
