Must:
We seek a candidate with strong hands-on expertise in LoRaWAN architecture, gateways, and end-device provisioning. You should have proficiency in Python, C/C++, or embedded development for low-power IoT devices. Experience with platforms such as ChirpStack, The Things Stack, or Helium Console is essential. A solid understanding of MQTT, REST APIs, and data ingestion into Firestore or PostgreSQL is also required. Practical networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and Linux administration, is important. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial. Additionally, we value excellent troubleshooting abilities for RF connectivity issues, join concerns, and payload decoding.
Responsibilities
As a LoRaWAN & IoT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and deploying LoRaWAN infrastructure, including gateways, concentrators, and end devices within our VenHub locations to support various sensors. You will configure, monitor, and optimize LoRaWAN gateways. Your role will involve developing and maintaining embedded firmware for LoRa-enabled sensors using C++. You will also integrate sensor data pipelines with our backend systems, incorporating MQTT, REST, and Firestore, to facilitate real-time monitoring and automated decision-making processes. Close collaboration with our software and networking teams will be crucial to ensure secure communication over VPN. You will document device configurations, network topologies, and integration standards to promote future scalability across all VenHub deployments.

Each Hub features hundreds of sensors, robotic systems, and real-time data pipelines that link edge hardware to our cloud platform. By joining our core engineering team, you will play a key role in redefining the future of automated retail, integrating robotics, networking, and intelligent IoT infrastructure on a large scale. This position provides a unique chance to help shape the physical backbone of our nationwide SmartStore network. This role is offered as full-time or contract, with a salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year. The work location is in-person.
