Requirements
Must:
- Production experience with Terraform—able to create modules from scratch
- Hands-on experience managing Okta or a similar identity provider
- Strong expertise in Linux administration and system hardening
- Basic understanding of SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and contemporary authentication concepts
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
- Knowledge of zero trust networking principles
- Capability to work autonomously, document processes, and deliver complete solutions
Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out the migration of our current GCP environment to AWS
- Set up Terraform from the ground up and utilize it as the base for the new AWS ecosystem
- Construct and oversee AWS infrastructure components: IAM, VPC, EC2, WorkSpaces
- Manage Okta for app integrations (SAML/OIDC/SCIM), RBAC groups, and automation of onboarding/offboarding processes
- Create and secure private Linux virtual machine setups
- Implement identity-based SSH access while removing static SSH keys
- Deploy and manage secure network access via Tailscale
- Define security baselines for endpoints in Kandji (handled day-to-day by the IT team)
- Establish guidelines for logging, monitoring, and backup procedures
- Phase out GCP resources as workloads transition to AWS
- Document architectural designs, runbooks, and operational protocols

As a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in migrating our small GCP environment to AWS, creating and managing the foundational cloud infrastructure, identity, and secure access. This position is located in Los Angeles and offers a competitive salary range of $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year.
