Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in software development and engineering
- Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, .NET, and React
- Expertise in designing and maintaining production-grade software systems
- Strong understanding of backend service development and API integration
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of security, performance, and reliability best practices
- Comfortability using AI tools for enhanced development processes
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and sustain secure software solutions at a production level
- Contribute significantly to architectural choices within our Microsoft-based environment
- Develop and advance APIs and backend services tailored for regulated workflows
- Create comprehensive data models suitable for enterprise applications
- Address and improve performance, security, and reliability throughout the software stack
- Assist in the implementation and technical configuration of customer solutions
- Translate operational constraints into precise product requirements
- Serve as a liaison among customers, Product, and Engineering teams
- Guide solution direction before the initiation of development efforts
- Clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Account Management teams
- Engage actively in Agile planning sessions
- Uphold high standards for code quality and future maintainability
- Enhance tools, workflows, and engineering practices as we expand
- Integrate AI tools into daily development and problem-solving workflows
- Display strong prompting and evaluative skills in the use of AI

Our platform empowers municipalities, police services, and governmental institutions across Canada to manage complicated legislative and regulatory requirements confidently. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Customer-Facing) who will play a pivotal role in our growth by engaging directly with customers and contributing to product design and engineering decisions. This role is currently remote, with plans to transition to a hybrid setup in the Toronto or Ottawa regions, offering competitive compensation between $95,000.00 and $105,000.00 per year.
