Requirements

Must:
- You must be a U.S. Person, which includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, Asylees, or Refugees. - This position mandates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with a CI polygraph. - For mid-level applicants, a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within the last 2 years is necessary, along with a master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or equivalent technical fields. A degree can be replaced with an additional 6 years of experience. - For senior-level candidates, a total of 10 years experience with relevant experience in the last 2 years is required, as well as a master’s degree in a related field. A degree can again be substituted for an additional 6 years of experience. - Proven experience in leading intricate, multi-component software systems, particularly those involving AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud-based architectures, is essential. - A strong understanding of LLMs, Generative AI frameworks, and knowledge representation is critical. - Demonstrated success in integrating AI into larger enterprise or mission platforms is expected. - Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure environments for deploying AI/ML systems is preferred. - Excellent communication capabilities and the capability to lead multidisciplinary teams are necessary. - A robust analytical and problem-solving attitude is required.

Responsibilities

- You will engage directly with users and senior mission stakeholders to grasp their analytical, operational, and collaboration challenges. - Defining the overall technical architecture for a knowledge management ecosystem, which includes platform, data, and AI components, will be your responsibility. - You will translate mission and user requirements into resilient, scalable, and secure technical solutions. - You will supervise end-to-end solution design, encompassing data ingestion and curation, AI-driven analytics, knowledge graphing, and user-facing applications. - Your role will involve architecting and guiding the integration of LLMs and Generative AI capabilities for summarization, knowledge extraction, semantic search, and intelligent assistance in the mission setting. - You will lead the implementation of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embedding pipelines, and LLM orchestration frameworks. - Collaboration with data scientists to prototype, evaluate, and deploy AI models tailored for classified and secure environments will be crucial. - You will establish LLMOps and model governance practices to ensure performance, explainability, and compliance with security and mission standards. - Collaborating with data engineering teams to design data pipelines, ETL processes, and metadata management systems will be necessary. - Leading the development and upkeep of ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data models that facilitate cross-domain intelligence sharing will be part of your role. - You will oversee software engineering efforts for the knowledge management platform, including API integration, user interface design, and system maintenance. - Coordinating with DevSecOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and accreditation of systems will be essential. - Supporting continuous improvement of platform performance, scalability, and usability will be part of your duties. - You will regularly interface with technical and non-technical government stakeholders to convey architecture decisions and their implications. - Finally, providing expert guidance on the responsible, secure, and mission-aligned adoption of AI technologies will be expected.
