Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Security Clearance (Secret or higher)
- 4–8+ years of experience in database administration (mid to senior level)
- Proficient in managing major database platforms (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience with AWS cloud environments (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git)
- Expertise in SQL scripting, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Knowledge of backup/recovery, replication, and high availability setups
- Solid understanding of security and compliance requirements in controlled environments
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise database systems (relational and/or NoSQL)
- Oversee and maintain databases across on-premises and AWS cloud environments
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries and indexing strategies
- Manage database backup systems, recovery strategies, and ensure high availability
- Deploy and oversee database infrastructure within AWS environments (RDS, EC2, Aurora, etc.)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines
- Enforce database security best practices, including encryption and access control
- Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and patching tasks
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures
