In the role of Senior AI/ML Solutions Engineer, I will task you with supporting mission-driven users facing complex national security issues. Here, you will be part of a small, multi-disciplinary team that applies AI/ML and data science to tangible challenges. Your main duties will include designing, developing, integrating, and deploying AI-driven solutions to derive insights from intricate, high-volume datasets, utilizing your expertise in AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLM), Generative AI, and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP). You will employ statistical and deep learning techniques for predictive modeling, classification, natural language processing, and pattern recognition. Collaboration is key; you will work with analysts, engineers, and mission partners to comprehend their requirements and convert them into effective, data-driven solutions. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating results and technical concepts through visualizations, dashboards, and concise reporting for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Description
We are looking for a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph who is open to working onsite 80% of the time or as mission demands require. A Bachelor's or advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in AI/ML, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field is essential, along with 8+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, large language models (LLMs), and emerging technologies. You should have proficiency in Python, R, and/or Java for machine learning, data processing, and algorithm development, with hands-on experience in building robust, scalable solutions for operational implementation. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and tools for model development (e.g., Jupyter, MLflow, AWS SageMaker) in production environments is required. Experience in Linux-based and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructures, deploying and maintaining AI/ML solutions in secure, production-grade settings, along with strong collaboration and communication skills with distributed teams and stakeholders, is essential. Preferred qualifications include understanding both commercial and custom AI/ML methodologies, as well as statistical and analytical concepts such as uncertainty modeling, spatial analytics, model evaluation, correlation analysis, and data visualization. An adaptable, solution-focused mindset is ideal, along with experience working in virtualized Linux environments on secure government infrastructure. A background in military or intelligence analysis or familiarity with IC PED systems will be a significant advantage. In terms of compensation, we provide a transparent salary range for this position, which is $130,000.00 - $200,000.00, depending on your experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
