Requirements
Must:
- We require an active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI polygraph.
- We require U.S. citizenship.
- We need at least six years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree in data science, mathematics, computer science, statistics, geography, GIS, operations research, engineering, science, or another technical discipline; equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- We require CompTIA Security+ certification, or the ability to earn it.
- We need strong programming ability to extract, transform, and cleanse multi-terabyte databases.
- We require experience working with vector, raster, and 3D datasets, including GIS data and data visualization across traditional and non-traditional sources.
- We require experience performing QA/QC on datasets.
- We need the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- We require strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- We need the ability to explain complex, multi-layered ideas clearly and concisely.
- We require the ability to organize ideas logically and reach validated conclusions.
- We need experience in web development and database administration on IC systems.
- We require experience administering and developing Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Preferred: five or more years of experience in JavaScript website development.
- Preferred: experience developing with C#, C++, XML, HTML, and SQL.
- Preferred: proficiency with statistical tools such as SPSS, SAS, S-Plus, or R.
- Preferred: experience with SketchUp, Terrabuilder, SKYLINE Global Server, SKYLINE Software Suite Terra Explorer C2MP, and ESRI ArcPro 3.x or higher.
- Preferred: experience with MIDB/MARS or similar foundational military intelligence databases.
- Preferred: experience in systems engineering and systems administration.
- Preferred: current or prior PUA certification on an IC system.
Responsibilities
- We work full time onsite in Reston, Virginia.
- We provide database and systems engineering and administration for a GIS Portal application with both desktop and web-based components supporting 2D and 3D data and related metadata.
- We gather requirements on site with government customers and carry out approved software changes as needed.
- We deliver full lifecycle support for COTS software products, including add-ons, upgrades, enhancements, updates, and security patches.
- We establish and maintain backup processes, manage performance and uptime, create database views, and supply data for customer ingestion into the portal.
- We tune databases to improve speed, stability, and user experience.
- We ensure products and services remain optimized and fit for their intended mission use.
- We help create, install, and operate the GIS database and integrate it with other network analysis tools across the three supporting networks.
- We perform image processing for modeling, including ortho-rectification, histogram optimization and matching, and image sharpening.
- We incorporate intelligence data into site models and simulations, including terrain analysis, GIS analysis, spiral database queries, and data overlays for the final product.
- We obtain source image datasets and complete the necessary preprocessing steps for modeling.
- We handle server administration and accreditation activities, including cloud migration of data and interfaces with CIO teams.
- We expand server capabilities to support growing software demands across all portal networks.
- We carry out data science and engineering work and produce written reports based on our findings and accomplishments.
- We support ETL activities for upgrades or technology transitions as needed.
