Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph.
- 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in strategic foresight or horizon scanning within national security or technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication capabilities.
- Ability to convey complex findings and methodologies to varied audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of emerging technology sectors such as AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, and more is preferred.
- Experience in supporting Object-Based Intelligence production and familiarity with Defense Intelligence ontologies desired.
- Strategic analytical skills to assess complex issues, derive conclusions from data, and create actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated leadership in multi-disciplinary teams for intricate data science projects.
- Proficient in handling structured and unstructured datasets, employing statistical and data visualization techniques.
Responsibilities
- Create assessments that forecast the discovery, advancement, and application of cutting-edge technologies and their effects on Defense Critical Infrastructure and U.S. nuclear capabilities globally.
- Generate intelligence to aid in the National Security Threat Capabilities Assessment, alongside assessments for the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP).
- Provide notifications of disruptive changes to maintain Intelligence Community readiness about technological evolutions.
- Perform comprehensive analysis to evaluate the strategic ramifications of new technologies on national security.
- Identify and assess potential future threats and opportunities linked to technological progress across various global domains.
- Innovate and enhance ontologies to facilitate Object-Based Intelligence production and ensure semantic compatibility within the Defense Intelligence Core Ontology.
- Utilize structured analytic techniques like key assumptions checks and scenario analyses to evaluate technology trends and anticipate disruptive transitions.
- Keep track of global research and development efforts, innovation ecosystems, and technology adoption rates for strategic foresight and preemptive alerts.
- Collaborate with data scientists and technology experts to incorporate advanced analytics, machine learning, and semantic technologies into our analytic processes.
- Document analytical methodologies to ensure automation, reproducibility, and integration into knowledge graphs and decision-support systems.
- Prepare assessments and presentations aimed at senior leadership, emphasizing risks, opportunities, and strategic outcomes of emerging technologies.
