Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with 2 to 5 years of experience in satellite ground systems engineering or relevant systems engineering functions.
- Bachelors degree in systems engineering or a related field. Four additional years of experience may replace a degree.
- Fundamental understanding of satellite ground system components and operational concepts.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, including customer interaction and technical documentation.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of operational issues and driving to resolution with internal stakeholders and system developers.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the operational Direct Access ground system across our customer landscape.
- Execute the full Systems Engineering lifecycle for the Direct Access Headquarters system. Break down high-level business needs into detailed technical software solutions that integrate with the larger microservice architecture of the ground system.
- Collaborate with external teams to create, develop, and implement new capabilities that enhance the Direct Access Program and its global customers.
- Take on a technical leadership role for the operational upkeep of assigned subsystems within the Direct Access ground systems.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in the Direct Access Ground System area.
- Guide internal software development teams in prioritizing and crafting advanced technical solutions to intricate software challenges.
- Engage daily with internal development engineers, system engineers, and stakeholders to deliver new ground system software solutions on time and within budget.
- Address system challenges that affect daily operations.
