Must:
To qualify for this role, you must be classified as a U.S. Person, which includes being a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, an Asylee, or a Refugee. If this position necessitates an active U.S. Government security clearance, candidates who do not currently possess the required clearance will not be considered. Additionally, for certain positions affected by U.S. export control laws, U.S. person status is required.
The minimum qualifications for this position include:
- An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current CI polygraph, or the ability and willingness to obtain one.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a DevSecOps, DevOps, or Production System Support role.
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift in production settings.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerization.
- Familiarity with Helm Charts.
- Experience with Jenkins builds and pipelines in both development and production environments.
- Knowledge of Git/Github/Gitlab as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
- A strong troubleshooting mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid expertise in Linux and bash scripting.
- Proficient with at least one build tool such as Maven, NPM, PIP, or Make.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT II and Privileged User Access requirements (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) or the ability to achieve this within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
In this full-time role based in Reston, VA, you will:
- Oversee the management of our Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, resources, and deployments across various networks and settings.
- Create, maintain, and enhance Helm charts and GitLab CI pipelines for multiple critical enterprise applications spanning numerous domains.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve production system issues.
- Manage our AWS infrastructure, proposing and designing new cloud solutions and architectures.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments, code quality checks, and accreditation scans.
- Aid in the authorization to operate (ATO) accreditation tasks and related documentation.
- Work alongside the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and development team to meet accreditation standards and secure ATO.
- Partner with the team to ensure the fulfillment and compliance of security controls and STIGs.
- Supervise and execute builds, deployments, integration, automation, and releases.
- Continuously monitor system and environment performance and availability.

The starting salary for this position will be between $113,000.00 and $188,000.00 annually, influenced by factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and market conditions.
