Responsibilities
As a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer at Vantor, based in Herndon, VA, your main focus will be to support the development, integration, and cybersecurity compliance for various intelligence capabilities within a developmental and subsequently production environment. You will collaborate with a project team to design and maintain multiple DevOps pipelines that integrate and deploy numerous components into our larger system technology framework. Your duties will include:
- Deploying and managing highly available applications to guarantee system reliability and scalability.
- Implementing and maintaining HashiCorp Nomad and Kubernetes clusters for effective workload orchestration.
- Executing DNS configuration, administration, and performance optimization for enterprise-grade systems.
- Developing and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Creating and managing multiple CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or similar tools to automate deployments and enhance development workflows.
- Conducting system monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Automating security testing and monitoring in DevOps workflows using tools like ACAS and Trivy.
- Analyzing cybersecurity scan results and collaborating with the cybersecurity team to address false positive findings.
- Assisting the cybersecurity team in compiling the necessary Body of Evidence for submitting False Positive exceptions and for enterprise software approval.
- Integrating static code analysis tools like GitLab SAST, Fortify, or Sonarqube into CI/CD pipelines.
- Constructing and maintaining custom tools to automate cybersecurity analysis and correlation workflows in response to evolving compliance requirements.
- Performing cybersecurity remediation on virtual machines managed through DevOps, including OS patching, STIGing, and software updates.
- Building, maintaining, and monitoring the configuration management of release products.
- Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure, automation pipeline, and network issues.
