Data Scientist - Python, Machine Learning

- Automate and sustain data extraction, cleansing, processing, and analysis workflows utilizing Python, SQL, and ETL tools aligned with best practices - Process and analyze both structured and unstructured datasets leveraging big data or cloud-native frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, managed cloud services) - Design, test, and assess predictive models and statistical analyses to address mission-specific use cases - Participate in complete data science and engineering workflows, from data preparation and feature engineering through to model development and delivery of results, with support from senior team members as needed - Document methods, assumptions, and outcomes in a clear manner; assist in creating briefings or presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences - Facilitate the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) within current systems and workflows, including case-specific implementations for summarization, tagging, classification, and information retrieval - Integrate pre-trained LLMs into pipelines to enhance knowledge discovery and accessibility of data - Aid in the deployment and assessment of internal LLM-enabled tools or assistants - Work closely with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and mission collaborators to refine requirements and iterate on solutions
