Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with CI Polygraph
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering roles
- Bachelors degree in data science, computer science, engineering, statistics, GIS, or a related field (additional 2 years of experience may substitute for degree)
- Proficient in Python and SQL; ability to write production-level, maintainable code; knowledge of R is a plus
- Hands-on experience with data manipulation, feature engineering, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Familiarity with full-cycle data projects including data preparation, modeling, validation, and reporting
- Strong communication skills for clearly explaining technical concepts and analytical findings, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of NLP and LLM concepts, with practical experience in applying pre-trained models (e.g., GPT-style) for various applications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, accepting and utilizing feedback while managing technical tasks independently
Responsibilities
- Automate and sustain data extraction, cleansing, processing, and analysis workflows utilizing Python, SQL, and ETL tools aligned with best practices
- Process and analyze both structured and unstructured datasets leveraging big data or cloud-native frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, managed cloud services)
- Design, test, and assess predictive models and statistical analyses to address mission-specific use cases
- Participate in complete data science and engineering workflows, from data preparation and feature engineering through to model development and delivery of results, with support from senior team members as needed
- Document methods, assumptions, and outcomes in a clear manner; assist in creating briefings or presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Facilitate the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) within current systems and workflows, including case-specific implementations for summarization, tagging, classification, and information retrieval
- Integrate pre-trained LLMs into pipelines to enhance knowledge discovery and accessibility of data
- Aid in the deployment and assessment of internal LLM-enabled tools or assistants
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and mission collaborators to refine requirements and iterate on solutions
