Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in data analytics, programming, database administration, or data management.
- An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
Responsibilities
- I will write ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
- I will troubleshoot software and processes to ensure data consistency and integrity while integrating complex and large-scale data from various sources for business partners to generate insights and make decisions.
- I will translate business specifications into technical design specifications and code, ensuring all code is well-structured, documented, and easy to maintain.
- I will partner with internal clients to gain expertise in business functions and their informational needs and work closely with technical and data analytics experts to implement data solutions.
- I will lead all phases of solution development, explaining technical considerations during meetings, including those with internal clients and less experienced team members.
- I will assess data quality and perform thorough code testing for accuracy, providing data analysis guidance and serving as a technical consultant for clients.
- I will educate and develop junior data engineers while applying quality control to their work and contribute to the establishment of data engineering standards across our organization.
- I will test and implement new software releases through regression testing, identifying issues and partnering with vendors to resolve and elevate software into production.
Description
At CDAO FAS, we are looking for a dynamic Data Engineer who is ready to tackle real challenges and have fun doing it. You will be responsible for rolling out enhancements to our FAS 360 Data Warehouse/Data Lake and executing critical IT and FAS modernization initiatives. In this role, you will provide expert-level data solutions by using software to process, store, and serve data to others, while ensuring that our data pipelines are scalable, repeatable, and secure. Your analytical skills will allow you to delve into various internal and external data sources. Additionally, you will lead, instruct, and mentor our newer Data Engineering crew, helping them grow and succeed.
This hybrid role requires presence in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and can be based in Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Malvern, PA; Philadelphia, PA; or Scottsdale, AZ.
